Last Saturday we headed over to our friends Julia and Matt's house for breakfast - a pretty regular occurrence and a chance for our children to run around together while the grown-ups chew the fat (literally and figuratively). But this time I had my camera bag with me, as I'd been hired by Matt's mother to do a family portrait session. So well-fed, we adjourned to the yard to take some photos of their son Lucas (4) and daughter Kyra (15 months). The shady garden and classic Santa Fe blue doors provided lots of nice locations, and the kids were very accommodating - even holding it together for the big family group shots. Much fun was had by all, and Julia and Matt (and Matt's mother) were really happy with the results. Here's a quick slideshow of some of the keepers.
